Description
Red Wine by Louis Jadot from Burgundy, France – regions. The commune of Pommard produces only red wines, and has no Grands Crus. Grands Epenots is one of two parcels under the name Les Epenots, situated in the north of the commune on 62 acres of clay and calcareous soil. The word Epenots comes from the French epines, referring to the spiny bushes that once surrounded the vineyard. In winemaking, Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in tanks for up to 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels before bottling. Pair with red meat, game and mature cheeses.
