Description
Red Wine by Ashbrook Estate from Margaret River, Australia. A low-yielding, cool vintage recognized for intensely flavored and attractive wines. Shiraz vines planted in 1998. As part of Ashbrook’s desire to follow an organic growing approach, the vineyard is liberally composted. Hand-picked grapes were fermented in 4-tonne open fermenters, then matured in 26% new French oak barriques for two years. An additional year’s bottle aging before release, this wine is about fine tannins, succulent depth of flavor and balanced acidity.
