Description
Bell Trace MIPS HelmetBe it a fun family bike ride, a daily commute or long adventure ride, the Bell Trace MIPS offers incredible protection, comfort and style. And all at a brilliant value price point. The Trace MIPS brings advanced protection to your ride, trickled down from Bell’s flagship helmets, letting you enjoy your ride safely. It begins with the Fusion In-mould technology, pioneered by Bell. This takes a tough polycarbonate shell and bonds it directly to a shock-absorbing foam liner – the result is a tough and durable helmet that can take the knocks of daily use and excellent protection in the event of a crash. This durable technology also allows Bell to boost the number of vents without compromising crash protection. Achieving the perfect fit is also delightfully easy via the Bell Ergo Fit system. Adjustment is by way of a single dial to get the fit just right, even when you’re pedalling. No-Twist Tri-Glide fasteners also keep the straps flat and in place, for even greater riding comfort. Lastly, ‘Sweat Guide’ padding at the brow draws moisture away from the forehead, ensuring no stinging sweat can run into the eyes.MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)The Trace MIPS Cycle Helmet is designed to dissipate the energy from a crash and this is achieved via the EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) body and the MIPS System (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). This MIPS is integrated with the fit system to give a sleeker, lighter and less complex helmet that fits closely to the head. What is MIPS?• MIPS is a Brain Protection System• Rotational motion can cause brain injuries• The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact• MIPS adds protectionFeatures:Fusion In-Mould Polycarbonate Shell16 ventsNo-Twist Tri-Glide fastenersSweat Guide paddingErgo-Fit systemMIPS® (integrated with fit system)Buy Bell Helmets from Chain Reaction Cycles.
