Description
Red Wine by Ogier from Gigondas, France – Rhone. Smooth and elegant tannins with subtle aromas of vanilla, sweet spices, cocoa and mocha. Deep ruby marked by its dark purple reflections. Very intense and powerful. An instant expression of this great terroir. At first black fruits, then notes of soft spices, vanilla, milk chocolate, and spices on a balsamic base. Remarkable scale, harmoniously marrying the aromatic power, sweetness, silky tannins and the remarkable freshness; all concluded by a magnificent length on black licorice fruits. Oratorio Gigondas is best served at 60º F and accompanied young by lamb shank or a Provençal stew, and when aged (easily up to 15 years) it is wonderful with venison, big game or mature cheese. Blend: 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre
