Description
White Wine by Tablas Creek from Central Coast, California. The 2017 Cotes de Tablas Blanc shows a rich, spicy nose of peach pit, Asian spices, vanilla bean, and baked earth. The mouth is very Viognier: peaches and melon and lots of richness, although the bright Grenache Blanc acids highlight an appealing citrus pith element on the finish and the lingering impression is of mineral and freshness. Drink now and for at least the next five years. Try pairing with Mussels Mariniere, green salads with avocado and citrus dressing, scallops, ceviche and light fish (halibut, sole) with tropical salsa.
